Originally from a small town North of Philadelphia, I thought owning an East Coast style sandwich shop was a great way to get back to my roots. Despite having lived in the San Francisco bay area for longer than I lived in Pennsylvania, my longing for good Cheesesteaks and Hoagies never seemed to fade. I’ve owned Jersey Joe’s since 2003 and from the start I knew what my mission was: Use high quality ingredients, do it right, have fun feeding the East Coast transplants and introducing new customers to a great sandwich.

Thank you to all of the loyal customers and to the newcomers that continue to make Jersey Joe’s the place to be if you want real Philly Cheesesteaks and Hoagies.

Cheesesteaks are a passion in the greater Philadelphia area. Fans argue over the "right" way to make them, which cheese should be used and who has the best roll. The cost to purchase, the distance to travel and the wait to take your first bite are of no consequence to the Philly Cheesesteak connoisseur.

My respects to Pat's, Geno's, Jim's, Ray's, Moccia's...

The Hoagie originated in Southern New Jersey and Eastern Pennsylvania over 50 years ago. It was based on the sandwiches prepared for the ship builders on "Hoage Island" by their wives in the pre-World War II era.
The Hoagie is a sandwich made on an Italian roll. The original version is made with Italian meats and cheeses, lettuce, tomato, onion, spices, oil and vinegar. However, over the years many variations have been created to the delight of Hoagie lovers everywhere.

My respects to the Sandwich Mill, Whitehouse Sub, Rocco's and Devinci's...
